  • Kona Private Reserve Roast

Roast: Very-Dark Review Date: November 2003
Origin: Kona growing region, Big Island of Hawaii Price: NA

Blind Assessment: The roast dominates this delicate coffee, but pleasantly so, turning the aroma caramelly with low-toned raisin and delicate vanilla notes. In the cup a finely balanced synthesis of acidity and roast taste, sharp but sweet, with the caramel and vanilla tones persisting through the long finish.

Notes: From the north Kona growing district, on the mountainside above the town of Kailua-Kona. Farm-roasted. Visit www.konapremium.com for more info.

Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy a prestigious name in a darker-roast style.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
