Roast: Very-Dark Review Date: July 2003
Origin: Agalta Mountain, northeastern Honduras Price: NA

Blind Assessment: The extremely dark roast (about as dark as roasts get) leaves hardly a trace of Honduras behind, just some anonymous burned tones, gentle and sweet until the finish, when the sweetness vanishes, leaving behind a salty astringency.

Notes: Grown, exported and roasted by a Honduras family-owned business. Visit www.agaltacoffeeco.com or call 765-677-0355 for more info.

Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy cleanly burned tasting extreme dark roasts.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
