Yauco Selecto AA, 2002-03 Crop by Barrington Coffee Roasting Co. Review | CoffeeReview.com
84
Roast: Medium Review Date: March 2003
Origin: Southwestern Puerto Rico. Price: NA

Blind Assessment: Rich but subdued, with a stealthy, understated sweetness. Some aromatic intrigue suggests apples and spice. The restrained aroma and rather flat finish compromises an otherwise roundly expansive Caribbean cup.

Notes: Yauco Selecto is one of two Puerto Rico coffees currently exported outside the island. Barrington Coffee is a small, quality-oriented wholesale specialty roaster emphasizing freshness in roast. Visit www.barringtoncoffee.com or call 800-528-0998 for more info.

Who Should Drink It: Those who crave richness without drama.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
