Roast: NA Review Date: May 2000
Origin: Harrar growing region, eastern Ethiopia. Price: NA

Blind Assessment: A complexly imbalanced cup. Virtually everyone agreed the aroma was pleasantly floral and fruity ("melon" one panelist specified) and the body robust, but the eccentric sensations that emerged in the cup as it cooled attracted a variety of vegetable and largely negative adjectives, among them grassy, herbal, wheaty, and tobaccoey.

Notes: The aroma is pleasantly floral and fruity, the body robust, but cup cooled to negative herbal, wheaty sensations. Sundried refers to the fact that this coffee, like all Harrars, was dried in the sun with the fruit around the bean intact. It is composed of coffee from both longberry and shortberry Harrar cultivars.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
