Roast: NA Review Date: November 1999
Origin: Not disclosed Price: NA

Blind Assessment: A pure, classic dark-roast gesture. Unusually full body for a roast this dark: smooth, balanced, round in the cup, with a sweetness at the core of the dark-roast pungency that opens like a glimpse of a meadow through a curtain of pines.

Notes: A pure, classic dark-roast gesture. Unusually full body for a roast this dark: smooth, balanced, round in the cup, with a sweetness at the core of the dark-roast pungency. Italian is a common American term for a blend of coffees brought to a degree of roast much darker than the norm, but not as dark as the terminally thin, burned blends called French.

Who Should Drink It: Bittersweet chocolate lovers, wide-wale corduroy wearers, haters of breakfast blends, evening fire contemplators.
