Roast: Medium Review Date: November 2013
Origin: Central Kenya. Price: $15.95/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Rich, complex, gently tart. Red grape, black currant, dark chocolate and a hint of deeply expressed flowers in aroma and cup. Round, resonant acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates but persists in a crisp finish.

Notes: Despite grower discontent and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands, Kenya continues to produce some of the world's most elegant and distinctive coffees. AA is the highest grade of Kenya coffee based on size of bean and freedom from physical imperfections. Atomic Café is a retail and wholesale coffee roaster on the North Shore of Massachusetts with locations in Beverly and Marblehead, Massachusetts. Visit www.atomicafe.com or call 978-910-0489 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy the juxtaposition of berry and chocolate sweetness and tart, dry elegance of a fine Kenya.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
