Jamaica Blue Mountain by Green Mountain Coffee | CoffeeReview.com

Roast: Medium Review Date: October 2013
Origin: Central Blue Mountains, eastern Jamaica. Price: $24.99/10 ounces

Blind Assessment: Crisply sweet. Apricot- and orange-toned fruit, melon, sweet chocolate, a hint of fresh-cut fir in aroma and cup. Delicately brisk acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The fruit notes carry into a round, resonant finish.

Notes: This Blue Mountain is produced by Mavis Bank, one of Jamaica’s oldest, most traditional and most respected coffee mills. Mavis Bank coffees grow at some of the highest growing elevations in the Blue Mountains. This is one of Green Mountain’s Special Reserve line of specially sourced, limited edition coffees. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters is one of the country's leading specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles. Who Should Drink It: A solid version of the celebrated Jamaica Blue Mountain profile, with good low-toned fruit and chocolate.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
