  • Jamaica Blue Mountain (RealCup capsule)

Roast: Medium-Dark Review Date: September 2013
Origin: Blue Mountains growing region, Jamaica. Price: $32.32/24 RealCup capsules

Blind Assessment: (As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a "RealCup" Keurig K-Cup-compatible capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving): Smoky caramel, butter, and an enlivening hint of ripe lemon in aroma and cup. Rich, round acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet, slightly smoky, gently drying finish.

Notes: Marley Coffee was founded by Rohan Marley, Bob Marley’s son. It sources and roasts fine coffee from Jamaica, Ethiopia and Central America. This Blue Mountain coffee originates on the 52-acre Marley farm, situated in one of the more desirable growing areas in the Blue Mountains. RealCup capsules are manufactured by Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee and are compatible for use with the widely distributed Keurig K-Cup line of single-cup brewing devices. However, Marley Coffee and RealCup have no affiliation with Keurig or K-Cup. Keurig and K-Cup are registered trademarks of Keurig Inc. Visit www.marleycoffee.com for more information.

Who Should Drink It: A rich, rather roasty version of a famous coffee for owners of Keurig K-Cup and other compatible brewing devices.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
