Roast: Dark Review Date: August 2013
Origin: Northern Sumatra Price: CAD $9.99/12 single-serve cups

Blind Assessment: As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a "OneCoffee" Keurig-compatible capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving: Richly low-toned, pineapple-like fruit and hints of fresh-cut fir and moist earth in aroma and cup. Round, rather muted acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is simple but sweet-toned and rich.

Notes: Certified organically grown and Fair Trade certified, meaning this coffee was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. OneCoffee cups are an innovative biodegradable design of single-serve coffee capsule (really a combination of pod and capsule) compatible with the widely distributed Keurig line of single-cup brewing devices. Canterbury Coffee is Western Canada’s largest specialty roaster, with a wide range of coffee brands, including the new OneCoffee single-serve line. Who Should Drink It: A quietly persuasive version of a low-acid Sumatra profile for Keurig owners. The pineapple-like fruit, pungent and juicy, is particularly attractive.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
