Paradise Coffee Ethiopia Ardi: Coffee Review
93
Roast: Medium-Light Review Date: July 2013
Origin: Sidamo (also Sidama) growing region, southern Ethiopia. Price: $16.95/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Complex, exotic, gently whisky-toned. Honey, lavender, hazelnut, milk chocolate in aroma and cup, complicated by a very restrained fermented character. Delicately brisk acidity; silky mouthfeel. Rich, juicy, flavor-saturated finish.

Notes: Grown in the Guji area of the Sidamo (also Sidama) growing region, this Ethiopian coffee is a dry- or "natural-" processed coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit was removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Paradise Roasters specializes in micro-lot coffees and espressos from Hawaii and other premier coffee growing regions. The company prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiseroasters.comr or call 763-433-0626 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: A fine, elegant variation on the great southern Ethiopian dried-in-the-fruit cup.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
