  • Teodosa Moreno Honduras

Roast: Medium Review Date: July 2013
Origin: El Cedral, Santa Barbara Department, Honduras. Price: $18.00/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Sweet-toned, pungent. Honey, night-blooming flowers, fresh-cut cedar, cherryish chocolate in aroma and cup. Rich, dry acidity; syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolate and flowers carry into a complex but drying finish.

Notes: From Teodosa Moreno’s La Canera farm, produced from trees of the Pacas variety of Arabica. Honduras has dramatically increased both volume and quality of its coffee production in recent years. Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
