Coffee Review - Kenya Kamuchuni by Revel Coffee
93
Roast: Medium Review Date: January 2013
Origin: Nyeri County, Central Highlands, Kenya. Price: $13.75/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Pungent dry berry and sweet, fragrant flowers in aroma and cup. Rich, deep acidity; silky mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates but retains richness in a gently drying finish.

Notes: Produced from trees both of the admired, Bourbon-derived SL 28 as well as the hybrid Ruiru 11 varieties by members of the Ruthaka Cooperative. Despite grower discontent and urban encroachment on prime coffee lands, Kenya continues to produce some of the world's most elegant and distinctive coffees. AA is the highest grade of Kenya coffee based on bean size and freedom from physical imperfections. Visit www.revelcoffee.com or call 406-534-9621 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy beverages that combine great sweetness with dry authority; certain floral but minerally white wines for example.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
