Roast: Medium-Light Review Date: April 2012
Origin: Chapada Diamantina growing region, Bahia State, Brazil. Price: NTD $350/8 ounces

Blind Assessment: Quiet, delicately lush, gently tart. Peach, a crisply dry version of blackberry and night flowers dominate in aroma and cup. Softly bright acidity; full, plush mouthfeel. Peach carries into a balanced finish.

Notes: From the Fazenda Sitio Tanque in the relatively new growing region of Chapada Diamantina. Processed by the pulped natural method, in which the skin is removed from the coffee fruit immediately after picking but the seeds or beans are dried with the sweet pulp, or fruit flesh, still adhering to them. From trees of the Catuai and Mundo Novo varieties. Gavagai is a Taiwanese one-location, in-store roaster specializing in siphon-brewed single-origin coffees and single-origin espressos. Who Should Drink It: Those who prefer subtle but opulent beverages.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
