Espresso Review - Guatemala Quiche FTO Espresso by Johnson Brothers
91
Roast: Medium Review Date: November 2011
Origin: Quiche Department, Guatemala. Price: $12.95/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Rich aromatics: ripe red apple, caramel and rose-like flowers carry from the aroma into the short cup where they are deepened and complicated by hints of dark chocolate and fir. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavor mutes but gently persists in two parts milk.

Notes: This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair-Trade certified, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Grown and processed by the Chajulense cooperative, a group of 1,800 indigenous farmers in Guatemala's Quiché Department. Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters is a distinguished small-batch roasting company. Visit www.johnsonbrotherscoffee.com or call 608-256-5282 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: A complex straight shot that translates well in short milk drinks.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
