Espresso Review - Twisted Espresso by Johnson Brothers Coffee
93
Roast: Medium Review Date: November 2011
Origin: Not disclosed. Price: $12.95/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Subtle, balanced aroma. Dark chocolate, flowers and berry carry into the cup with the addition of peach-like stone fruit and hints of fir. Deeply syrupy mouthfeel. Dark chocolate dominates the sweet, quiet finish. Fades somewhat in two parts milk, though the peach-like stone fruit ripens and chocolate notes sweeten.

Notes: A blend of three coffees, Twisted's name was inspired by the way espresso "twists" as it the streams from the spout of a portafilter. Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters is a distinguished small-batch roasting company. Visit www.johnsonbrotherscoffee.com or call 608-256-5282 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Those who appreciate a syrupy-sweet straight espresso and cappuccino-sized milk drinks.
