Blind Assessment: Complex layers of fruit in aroma and cup: strawberry, cherry, orange, deepened and complicated by a pungent cedar. Rich, round acidity; soft, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Some flavor carries into a long, resonantly sweet finish.

Notes: The Kangocho Cooperative is one of many smaller cooperatives that belong to the larger Gikanda Cooperative Society, a group that supports farmers in and around the highly regarded Nyeri growing region. Kangocho produces coffee from trees of the famous SL-28 variety of Arabica, derived from both the original Bourbon-influenced "French Mission" variety as well as from heirloom Ethiopian and possibly Sudanese cultivars.
