Blind Assessment: Difficult to assess in coffee terms, but an attractive and distinctive beverage. Sweet-toned, perfumy aroma: caramel, flowers, a hint of fruit. Delicate, wine-like acidity. The mouthfeel is light in weight but silky in texture. In the cup caramel dominates with floral and chocolate-fruit complications. Clean finish, though flavor fades rather quickly. Notes: A liquid concentrate coffee produced by the cold water brewing method. Evaluated mixed at a ratio of 1.5 parts concentrate to 4 parts water, which appears to be a stronger formulation than suggested on the bottle. Mixed to our taste at Coffee Review and figuring on a 7- or 8-ounce cup size, each 16-ounce bottle makes about 8 servings at 70 cents per serving. Visit www.ryancoffee.com for more information.
