  • Honduras David Mancia Espresso

Roast: Medium Review Date: December 2010
Origin: Santa Barbara Department, Honduras. Price: $20.00/500 grams (17.6 oz.)

Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Sweet-toned and round. Caramelly sweetness softens toasty citrus tones and fleeting hints of lavender and carob in the small cup. Flavors linger delicately and cleanly in the finish. The sweetness theme persists in two parts milk: subdued layers of lemon, flowers and more carob.

Notes: Produced on the two hectare farm of David Mancia in the Honduran village of El Cielito at an elevation of over 5,000 feet. Coava is a Portland based coffee roaster that aims to provide quality coffee and the knowledge needed to properly brew that coffee. Who Should Drink It: A gentle and sweet single-origin espresso.
