Coffee Review - Flying Monkey from PT's Coffee
89
Roast: Medium-Dark Review Date: September 2010
Origin: Not disclosed. Price: $17.00/pound

Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Rich, fruit-toned aroma. Brightly fruity in flavor with an undercurrent of licorice and aromatic wood. Slightly lean in mouthfeel. Smoothes out in a long, sweetly rich finish. "Improved in milk," according to co-taster Andy Newbom (88), who reported the fruit rounded and deepened toward cherry and plum. Ken (89) agreed, finding hints of flowers and chocolate as well.

Notes: Roasted at PT's Coffee, where the motto is "without the love, it's just coffee." Visit www.ptscoffee.com or call 888-678-5282 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy a pungent, assertive short shot and a balanced, chocolaty fruit in tall milk.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
