Roast: Medium Review Date: August 2010
Origin: Copan Department, Honduras. Price: $10.00/250 g. (8.8 oz.)

Blind Assessment: Soft butter, nut and aromatic wood in the aroma. Bright, distinctly fruit-toned acidity and a silky mouthfeel. Sustained flavor deepens in the cup: sweet citrus complicates and enlivens the aromatic wood and nut notes. Flavors soften and persist gently in the finish.

Notes: Coava is a Portland based coffee roaster that aims to provide quality coffee and the knowledge needed to properly brew that coffee. Visit www.coavacoffee.com or call 503-894-8134 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Acidity lovers who appreciate brightness without sourness or astringency.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
