Roast: Medium-Light Review Date: August 2010
Origin: Lempira and Copan departments, Honduras. Price: $10.00/250 g. (8.8 oz.)

Blind Assessment: Rich aroma and flavor highlighted by sweet-toned lemon with suggestions of flowers, berries and baking chocolate. Bright acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel and a finish that fades perhaps a bit too quickly, especially as the cup cools.

Notes: This five-bag micro-lot combines coffee from two Honduran farms owned respectively by farmers Gumercindo Herrera and Carlos Serrano. Coava is a Portland based coffee roaster that aims to provide quality coffee and the knowledge needed to properly brew that coffee. Who Should Drink It: Rich and sweet-toned. Drink it while it’s hot.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
