Coffee Review - Decaf Organic Blend from Temple Fine Coffee
Roast: Medium-Dark Review Date: July 2010
Origin: Flores, Indonesia. Price: $13.50/12 oz.

Blind Assessment: Nut and fresh-cut wood dominate the delicate aroma, softened by a hint of chocolate. In cup and finish the cocoaish chocolate becomes richer and more explicit, though a faint woody flatness (probably decaffeination-related) continues to haunt the cup. Attractive, lightly syrupy mouthfeel.

Notes: This coffee was decaffeinated using a water-only method that does not involve use of a solvent. Certified organically grown on the island of Flores, Indonesia. Bolstered by a new focus on quality and assistance from international aid groups, Flores is beginning to create a name for itself in specialty coffee circles. With two coffee houses located in California's state capitol Sacramento, Temple Coffee recently transitioned from serving other roasters' coffee to roasting their own. Who Should Drink It: A refreshing, sweet-toned organic decaf.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
