Coffee Review - Guatemala Quiche FTO by Johnson Brothers Coffee
93
Roast: Light Review Date: June 2010
Origin: Quiche Department, Guatemala. Price: $11.95/12 oz.

Blind Assessment: Softly complex aroma: hazelnut, milk chocolate, moist pipe tobacco. Refined and balanced in the cup with clear-toned acidity, silky mouthfeel and a sustained complex of flavors that combine nut and milk chocolate with hints of tangerine and grapefruit. The flavor persists deep into the finish, turning sweeter as it fades.

Notes: This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair-Trade certified, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Grown and processed by the Chajulense cooperative, a group of 1,800 indigenous farmers in Guatemala's Quiche Department. Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters is a distinguished small-batch roasting company. Visit www.johnsonbrotherscoffee.com or call 608-256-5282 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Sweet nut, chocolate and fruit resonate in this sweet-toned, light-roasted cup.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
