Hawaiian Maui Yellow Caturra by Barrington Coffee Review | CoffeeReview.com
90
Roast: Light Review Date: March 2010
Origin: Kaanapali district, near Lahaina, West Maui, Hawaii Price: $14.95 / 16 oz.

Blind Assessment: Soft, floral-toned aroma with round citrus notes and honey-like sweetness. In the cup, delicately silky mouthfeel and subtle yet complex flavors suggesting citrus, plum, nut, and more flowers with hints of caramel and toast that linger quietly into the long finish.

Notes: Produced on the Maui Grown Coffee farm, a slimmed-down revival of the older, larger, now-defunct Kaanapali Coffee estate. Barrington Coffee is an artisan roaster dedicated to elite coffees, fresh delivery and roasting that foregrounds the coffee and not the roast. Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy the refreshing natural sweetness and delicate fruit-floral tones of a light-roasted, very pure coffee.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
