We began counting down our Top 30 Coffees of 2016 on Monday, November 28. We’ll unveil three coffees per day until the top three coffees are revealed on Wednesday, December 7.
In 2016, we cupped thousands of coffee samples and published nearly 400 coffee reviews. Approximately ninety of the reviewed coffees scored 94 points or higher. Obviously, all of these coffees are exceptional but some were more remarkable than others. Ultimately, we selected and ranked what we believe are the 30 most notable coffees and espressos of the year. The rankings are based on quality (represented by overall rating), value (reflected by most affordable price per pound), and other factors that include distinctiveness of style, uniqueness of origin or tree variety, certification, and general rarity.
We are pleased to share our list of the Top 30 Coffees of 2016.
